North Berwick Harbour Joint Management Agreement

I would like to advise you that under the above Agreement it has been agreed that, from 1st January 2008, North Berwick Harbour Trust Association (NBHTA) will take control of the lists for moorings and dinghy park bays and the waiting lists for both. All communications regarding these matters, including requests from the public for moorings etc., will now be directed to NBHTA via the Harbour Master. From this date NBHTA will take responsibility for the allocation of moorings, dinghy park spaces, invoices and collection of fees and management of waiting lists and will be the sole point of contact on these matters. It is essential that the NBHTA take on these duties in order to demonstrate their competence to take over the management of the harbour prior to a Revision Order being granted and we have every confidence that they will carry them out effectively and efficiently. The Council will, however, continue to keep an overview of all harbour management matters during this period through regular liaison meetings.
